About Us

A generation ago the approach to Jewish education and experience was perhaps akin to ‘one size fits all’. Across the entire communal spectrum this method no longer inspires in the same way. 25 years’ experience informs us that there are clearly multiple paths to Jewish engagement and divers means of delivery. Ensuring Jewish futures demands that we strive to develop and provide opportunities for each one. Ta’am is a new organisation whose mission is to engage Jews of all backgrounds and ages via food, and specifically Jewish food traditions. Ta’am is about authenticity, education, and connectivity. We invite Jews to find their own Jewish story through food memories, food traditions and a future filled with the warmth and nurturing that food at its best can provide.
